Melissa Myers is a lecturer who teaches undergraduate and graduate-level academic writing and oral communication courses. Over the last twenty years, she’s been teaching international students of diverse backgrounds the English language. Most recently, she lived for two years in Ecuador and worked at an IB international school. Prior to this, she trained teachers in Mexico City, worked with law students at Jagiellonian University as a Peace Corps volunteer and, in Finland, she taught university students and faculty. She has a BA in English from Michigan State University and earned a Master’s of Education in TESOL from the University of Maryland. Melissa has been teaching academic language courses at Cornell for a number of years and loves working with international students to help them become academically successful and participate as members of an increasingly global world.
