Spotlight Tutor

Spotlight Tutors | Meet our new CWC tutors!
Meet the smart, thoughtful, engaged, and kind tutors who just completed our intensive 7-week training program. We are proud to introduce this new committed and diligent cohort and share their different interests, writing processes, and reasons for tutoring. Spotlight Tutor | Meet CWC Tutor Isabella Japal
I think if anyone is second guessing whether or not they should check out the writing centers, go for it! The tutors aren’t going to judge you, and it never hurts to get a second set of eyes to look over your work. You could leave with a completely new writing technique or simply receive some reassurance about your assignment.

Spotlight Tutor | Meet ELSO Tutor Hugo Milan
I like the exchange of knowledge that happens during a tutoring session. I get to pick on what cutting-edge developments are happening at Cornell and the students get to learn strategies to improve their communication skills. Spotlight Tutor | Meet CWC Tutor Matt Propper
I love that tutoring gives me the opportunity to meet a diverse array of students on campus and learn so many different stories. Interacting with students I would not normally meet has been my favorite aspect of the job, and as a result, I look forward to working with people in any job I do in the future.

Spotlight Tutor | Meet ELSO Tutor Sudan Kariuki
I was a writing tutor in undergrad, but it has been years since then. Tutoring writing again has made my own writing much clearer. This is especially true for my scientific writing.

Spotlight Tutor | Meet CWC Tutor Amanda Coate
I was motivated to become a writing tutor primarily because I wanted to help people become better, more confident writers. Writing has always been the way that I best express myself and I have always had a passion for it, but not everyone feels that way.
